What’s the Big Deal About WidgetBucks?

by Charlie in Affiliate Programs

WidgetBucksSorry, but I just can’t believe all the hype about WidgetBucks, especially with all the stories of banned accounts and no stories of payment. Basically, the hype is that WidgetBucks has the highest CTR and CPC out of the major largest affiliate companies, including Adsense. Even the big-time bloggers, like TechCrunch, and Problogger, are promoting the product. I don’t believe reputable blogs should promote such an affiliate and increase the hype until it’s been tested to be legit. The thousands of visitors that come to their blogs will sign up under their referral names thinking that the company is legit. But in the end, they will have wasted potential money from other ad affiliates when WidgetBucks closes down. These reputable blogs are just creating unnecessary hype for WidgetBucks to profit on.

Don’t jump on the WidgetBucks ship quite yet, until they prove they are a reputable company that pays their customers. Many people trying to make money on the internet have a vulnerable mindset because they are willing to try anything to make money. It’s like those e-books that cost $20 that promise they will make you money, but it’s the same information you find on forums and the internet. There’s no sense in wasting potential revenue by adding ads from a untrustworthy affiliate. If I’m proven wrong, and WidgetBucks is indeed legit, I will write a post about how I was wrong to judge WidgetBucks. But, for the time being, I’m sticking to my opinion.
