Bake Sale Ideas
Need some specific bake sale ideas that go with a rainbow theme?
I’ve got you covered!
1. Graffiti Rice Krispies Treats
I hope the photo of these shows how much fun I had creating them – splattering melted candy melts in various colors on top for the graffiti was a lot of fun.

And look how bright they are!
I think they’ll be best sellers, for sure.
Ingredients:
- Rice Krispies Treats (here’s the original recipe, or purchase premade ones)
- Candy melts in various colors
- Coconut oil (optional)
Instructions:
- Make Rice Krispies Treats using the original recipe. Allow to cool.
- Melt one candy melt color at a time, being careful not to overheat them.
- Stir in a little coconut oil to make the melted liquid thinner and easier to splat.
- Take a spoon, fill it a bit, and vigorously splatter it across the Rice Krispies Treats.
- Repeat with each candy melt color.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares to sell.
2. Rainbow Sprinkled Brookies

Brookies…the marrying of a brownie with a cookie on top.
They’re pretty yummy!
You can make them rainbow by adding sprinkles.
I kept this really simple and just made it using baking mix packages.
Ingredients:
- A package of brownie mix
- Same-sized package of cookie mix
- Vegetable Oil (according to package directions)
- Butter (according to package directions)
- Egg (according to package directions)
- Rainbow sprinkles
Instructions:
- Make the brownie mix according to the package.
- Cook the brownie mix about halfway (until you have the amount of time left that the cookies need to bake), in the pan size according to the package.
- Make the cookie mix according to the package.
- Take the brownies out of the oven, then add the cookie layer on top (as best as you can).
- Sprinkle with rainbow sprinkles and push the sprinkles into the cookie mixture (gently).
- Finish cooking according to how long the cookie mixture needs (package directions).
3. Rainbow Crookies

Ready for some over-the-top yumminess people will want to buy?
Purchase a big thing of croissants from somewhere like Costco.
Cut lengthwise to create a pocket (where you’re about to stuff some serious goodness into).
Make this recipe of safe, edible cookie dough using rainbow M&Ms in it.
Fill each croissant with the cookie dough.
Package it up, and let people know that they can eat it as is, or heat it up in an oven for a bit to make the cookie and pastry a bit crispy on the ends.
Mmmmmmmm.
4. Foot-Long Rainbow Cookie Bars

Have you seen the new foot-long cookie bars at Subway®?
I thought they’d be perfect to sell at an event – especially because someone walking around eating a foot-long cookie is a great advertisement, too.
This one is quite simple. Find a cookie bar recipe (I used this one, but with chocolate chips), and make sure it fits into a 9” X 13” pan (which happens to measure 1 ft lengthwise).
Instead of chocolate chips, just use M&Ms (minis or regular-sized).
Allow everything to cool, and cut it into 1-ft. long strips.
Then package it up.
I was able to fit them into a lunch bag or in some parchment paper (you could staple the end if you want to).
5. Rainbow Cookie Dough Buckets

Just look at these cute little buckets of rainbow sprinkled cookie dough!
You can bet I would buy one at a bake sale.
There are easy ways to make raw cookie dough batter safe to eat, such as not using eggs (or using pasteurized eggs) and heat-treating the flour in the oven for a set amount of time.
I purchased the little buckets at the Dollar Tree, and cut little squares of parchment paper in each corner, then scrunched them together to put into each bucket.
The silver spoons are from Dollar Tree, too (in the party planning section).
Here’s the raw cookie dough recipe I used. Just make that, then add in rainbow sprinkles on top, mini M&Ms, and/or white chocolate chips.
Use a mini ice-cream scoop or a melon scooper to scoop out a few balls of cookie dough for each bucket.

These are out-of-this-world yummy.
Ingredients:
- Rice Krispies Treats (here’s the original recipe, or purchase premade ones)
- Fruity Pebbles cereal
- White candy melts

Instructions:
- Make Rice Krispies Treats using the original recipe. Allow to cool.
- Melt the candy melt, being careful not to overheat it.
- Put your gloves on.
- Spread the candy melt quickly over the pan of Rice Krispies Treats.
- Quickly shake a cup of Fruity Pebbles over the pan. Then gently push down the cereal into the candy melt.
- Allow to cool completely and the candy melt to harden before cutting up into squares to sell.
7. Rainbow Sprinkled Oreo Pops

Look how adorable these turned out!
I love how bright they are.
Ingredients:
- White (or other color) candy melts
- Mega-stuffed Oreos or Sandwich Cookies with a thick icing layer
- Rainbow sprinkles
- Lollipop sticks
Instructions:
- Melt the candy melt, being careful not to overheat it.
- Stick a lollipop stick through the icing of each cookie you want to coat.
- Using a spoon, coat each cookie in the candy melt.
- Dip each cookie in the rainbow sprinkles (use a spoon to fully coat).
- Allow the cookies to dry over a metal rack or on parchment paper.
Choose one of these rainbow-themed bake sale ideas, create a colorful display table, and sell, sell, sell! I wish you much success.
