Marshmallow Halloween treats for kids that are easy to make and will make them smile.
I honestly don’t know who had more fun with these marshmallow Halloween treats – me while I was creating them, or my son when he got to eat them.

I’m an amateur baker, and I bet your own creations from these recipes will look even better than mine.
But they are so cute, if I do say so myself!
Marshmallow Halloween Treats for Kids
We have a lot of fun celebrating Halloween each year, and I hope these marshmallow treats add to your family’s celebrations this year, too.
Just have fun with it!
1. Crispy Frankenstein Treats
I have to admit: I think these are my favorite out of this whole bunch.

They were super fun to create, and I was so excited to share them with my husband and son when he got home from school!
Ingredients:
- Rice Krispies Treats
- Green Candy Melts
- Black Candy Melts
- Mini Marshmallows
- Large Candy Googly Eyes
- Black icing in a tube with a very small tube head (optional)
Instructions:
- Make a batch of Rice Krispies Treats, or buy a package of them premade.
- Slice the Krispies Treats into squares.
- Melt the green candy melts according to package instructions.
- Dip the top of each Rice Krispies treat into the green candy melt, and use a spatula to smooth the green over the entire face of it.
- Allow them to cool completely (you can put them in the fridge and they’ll cool quicker).
- Once cooled, melt the black candy melts according to package instructions.
- Dip the top part of each Frankenstein into the black candy melt, and cover about one inch as the “hair”. You can use a spatula or spoon to scoop the black candy melt towards the treat and cover it.
- Allow them to cool completely (you can put them in the fridge, if needed).
- Remelt the black candy melt (if the consistency changes, just add a little fat to it like shortening or vegetable oil).
- Put a small dab of candy melt where each eye should go, and “glue” your eyes onto your Frankenstein. Put a little dab on either side of Frankenstein’s head, and “glue” a mini marshmallow there.
- Optional: Take black icing, and paint a mouth onto each Frankenstein.
2. Red-Eye Fluff

This is such a fun, Halloween-like marshmallow treat for kids!
Plus, it’s got cranberries in it…so it’s semi-healthy, right?
We’ll just go with that.
Ingredients:
- 12 ounces of cranberries
- ½ cup sugar
- 1.5 – 2 tubs Whipped Topping (8 oz. each)
- 1 cup mini-marshmallows
- 8-10 large candy eyes
Instructions:
- Chop up the cranberries in a food processor.
- Mix the chopped cranberries with the sugar. Soak overnight.
- Fold the whipped topping into the cranberries. But don’t completely combine – you want some red streaks throughout!
- Mix in 1 cup of mini marshmallows.
- Add some large candy eyes on top.
Hint: if you want to make this ahead of time, just remember to add the candy eyes right before serving. Otherwise, they kind of start melting…which looks quite odd.
3. Witch Sugar Cookie Melts

“I’m melting! Melting!”
I had that Wizard of Oz scene in my head when I was dreaming up these cookies.
I think they turned out cute and funny – again, I’m an amateur baker, so I’m sure you can make them even better!
Ingredients:
- Red Candy Melts
- Blue Candy Melts
- Black Candy Melts
- Hershey’s Kisses
- Regular-sized Marshmallows
- Sugar Cookies (store bought, or use a recipe)
Instructions:
- Make a batch of sugar cookies (I used this recipe), OR, purchase pre-made sugar cookies.
- Melt equal parts of red candy melts and blue candy melts together and mix to make purple.
- Dip each marshmallow into the purple candy melt. Using a spoon, completely cover the marshmallow in purple.
- Spread purple candy melt onto the top of each cookie.
- “Glue” one marshmallow to the top of each cookie.
- Allow it to cool and harden completely (you can put them in the fridge).
- Melt the black candy melts.
- Dip a Hershey’s Kiss into the black candy melt, and affix it to the top of the witch’s hair.
- Dip the top of each marshmallow into the black candy melt to add “hair” to each witch. OR, gently spoon/pour some black candy melt over the Hershey Kiss and top of the marshmallow (this is the way I did it).
- 1Dab a little candy melt where the eyes go, and “glue” on two eyes.
- Allow to cool and harden completely.
4. Frankenstein Marshmallow Pops

Did these turn out beautifully?
Not exactly…but I am an amateur baker, after all.
I think you can still take the idea and run with it (your kids will love them regardless of how green-where’s-Waldo they look).
Ingredients:
- Regular-sized marshmallows
- Green Candy Melts
- Black Candy Melts
- Small Candy Googly Eyes
- M&Ms
- Black Icing
- Popsicle Sticks
Instructions:
- Melt the green candy melts according to package instructions.
- Dip each marshmallow into the green candy melt. Using a spoon, push the candy melt to cover all except the top of the marshmallow.
- Allow them to cool and harden completely (use the fridge, if you’d like).
- Melt the black candy melts according to package instructions.
- Dip each marshmallow top into the black candy melts. Cover just enough for “hair”.
- Allow to cool and harden completely.
- Remelt the black candy melt, or use the black icing to put a dab where each eye needs to go. Then “glue” the eyes on. Put a dab on the side of each head, and glue the M&M (M-side) on either side.
- If you want to add a mouth, use the black icing to create a line.
- After everything is cooled and hardened, put a popsicle stick halfway through each marshmallow.
5. Monster Donuts

Look at these super cute monster donuts!!
So easy to make, too. They could be your new Halloween morning tradition!
Ingredients:
- Donuts from a store
- Regular-sized marshmallows
- Black or Brown Candy Melts
- Strawberries
Instructions:
- Slice the strawberries lengthwise to look like a tongue.
- Melt a few candy melts, according to package directions.
- Dab the melted candy melts onto the top of the donut in two places to “glue” two marshmallows on for eyes.
- Dab, in a circle, the candy melt (use something small like a toothpick) to make pupils for the two eyes.
- Sit back and watch as your kids squeal in delight at the cute monster donuts!
6. Skeleton Marshmallow Head Cupcakes

Aren’t these so clever?
Here’s how to assemble.
Ingredients:
- Edible marker food pen
- Regular-sized marshmallows
- Vanilla yogurt-covered mini pretzels
- Premade Cupcakes
- A few candy melts
Instructions:
- Take the edible marker food pen, and draw faces on the bottom of as many marshmallows as cupcakes that you have.
- Make arms out of the yogurt-covered pretzels by breaking each side off and leaving the middle part off.
- Melt a few candy melts according to package instructions. This will be your “glue”.
- Build a tower of vanilla pretzels on top of each other. “Glue” each one together with dabs of extra icing or melted candy melts in between each one.
- Stack your skeleton pretzel towers on top of the cupcakes.
- Lean an arm on each side of the pretzels (one in each pretzel hole).
- Dab some candy melt at the back of the top pretzel, and “glue” on the marshmallow face.
That's it!
7. Spooky Marshmallow S’Mores

Ready for some silly fun with the kids?
Grab some edible food markers and draw faces on some jumbo marshmallows.
Let the kids pick their marshmallow to roast over the fire, and make some spooky s’mores!
Whichever marshmallow Halloween treats you choose doesn't matter – they will add a fun spookiness to your Halloween celebrations. I'd love to see your recreations below!
